Summary
Under the supervision of the CFO, the Student Account Representative performs duties related to service of students, faculty, staff, and general public in carrying out functions of the Business Office.

- Assist the college in implementing the statement of purpose.
- Assist the college in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plan.
- Assist the Business Office and the Budget Office
- Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
- - Assist with general Business Office duties including: answering phones, assisting the students with inquiries concerning their accounts, student registration including working with students to complete their registration status.
- - Serve as primary contact for students, answer main Business Office telephone and assist students at the front counter
- - Pick up, sort and distribute Business Office mail each day
- - Assist with refund, withdrawals and other tasks as needed
- - Work the information booth when the telecommunications operator is out or at lunch
- Assist in evaluating annually the effectiveness of the Business Office in order to make improvements.
- Various other duties as assigned by the CFO
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must have excellent verbal, written and communication skills
- Must have the ability to proofread and edit documents
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be proficient in the operation of a computer, including Microsoft Office Professional Word and Excel
- Must have the ability to work independently, complete multiple assignments, meet deadlines, exercise good judgment, demonstrate tactfulness and discretion and maintain confidentiality
Preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business
- Experience in working in customer service or higher education
Physical Demands
- Must possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
- Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone effectively in English.
- Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment
- Must be punctual and regular in attendance and able to work required hours in an on-campus setting
