Job Description

The RE will be responsible for the following elements of the construction works under his/her responsibility, but is not limited to the following:

· Contract Administration acting as Resident Engineer for this project;

· Reviewing the construction drawings and managing the processes of dealing with Contractor queries by liaising with the designers through the required communication lines;

· Inspection of the works and test results for quality control;

· Preparing and updating estimates to completion;

· Maintaining records of site administration and communication in terms SMEC’s quality management system and Construction Manual;

· Attending and contributing to taking minutes at technical and site meetings;

· Maintaining monthly progress reports;

· Liaison with clients and contractors;

· Managing resources for site supervision;

· Monitoring of quality of works;

· Monitoring of programme and contract budgets;

· Handling claims;

· Preparation of variation orders;

· Participate in stakeholder engagement

· Closing out projects including compiling completion/closeout reports; and Monitoring of Environmental Management Programs
