Join us as a Structured Finance Associate, Midlands and East of England

  • You'll work on structured finance transactions across a broad range of UK market segments and asset classes, including large corporates, leveraged finance, asset-based lending, infrastructure, project finance and high-growth businesses
  • You'll support the origination and execution of complex funding solutions for customers, helping them achieve growth, acquisitions, investment and strategic objectives
  • You'll collaborate with colleagues across the bank to deliver the full NatWest franchise and create positive outcomes for our customers

What you'll do

In this role, you'll be providing vital support to the Midlands & East Structured Finance team in originating and executing transactions across a diverse portfolio of customers. You'll help deliver tailored financing solutions while building strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.

You'll also be:

  • Responsible for delivering transactions from the start to the finish, proactively inputting into structuring discussions and decision making at all stages, as well as managing stakeholders with clear and timely communication
  • Undertaking thorough credit & capital analysis to support with the assessment of funding proposals, which includes modelling pricing returns, drafting & presenting detailed credit & pricing papers, and responding to approvers’ enquiries
  • Supporting the legal negotiation process including reviewing term sheet and facility documentation to make sure the facility documentation drafted by external legal counsel has adequate protections for NatWest
  • Contributing to origination activity through the preparation of client presentations, proposals and financing structures
  • Working closely with product partners and coverage teams to deliver the wider bank proposition to customers
  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships to identify and support new business opportunities

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with strong analytical and commercial skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll be passionate about delivering great customer outcomes and keen to develop your expertise in structured finance. To succeed in this role, you need to have a curious mindset, eagerness to learn and willingness to embrace feedback.

You'll also need:

  • Strong financial and credit analysis skills gained in a lending, transaction or similar environment
  • Proven analytical and commercial acumen
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to solve complex problems and contribute to transaction structuring discussions
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A collaborative approach and experience of working successfully with colleagues and stakeholders
