Wood is currently recruiting for a Structural Supervisor to join the team for an immediate start, supporting construction activities on a major EPCM project for a key client project in Chonburi, Thailand This role is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the opportunity to continue as an ongoing, longer-term assignment and available for Thai National.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, your immediate focus will be supporting the supporting construction activities on a major EPCM project for a key client. You will bring to life Woods' three-pillar strategy of Inspired Culture, Delivery Excellence and Profitable Growth on the project. Leading by example, you will consistently display and enforce Wood values and behaviour and commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour to ensure safe, reliable operations and client satisfaction.
You will thrive on the challenge of balancing technical, team, client, and project leadership in this key site-based role with your focus on relationships and delivery, enabling you to anticipate project needs beyond the immediate scope. You will drive technical excellence and assurance on the painting and insulation portion while working in close partnership with other disciplines and the client, to enable robust technical decisions that ultimately add value to the client and project.
In addition, you will:
- Ensure that all construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are instructed in and comply with all aspects of the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements
- Ensure that construction contractors working within his discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, Specifications, ITP’s, Procedures and Site Instructions
- Responsible for the HSES, and quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring construction contractors complete their work in accordance with the project schedule
- Proactive in providing support to project team in assigned project work as and when required
- Vocation, Diploma, or bachelor’s degree in civil or related field
- Extensive track record managing Civil Construction activities including site preparation, piling, foundation, building, steel structure, testing, walk down, punch listing, reinstatement and pre - commissioning
- Minimum 10 years experienced of working I Live Plant, Greenfield and Turnaround / Revamp work for Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Power Plant, or others similar type of plants
- Good HSES awareness and commitment including skill and knowledge in preparation of Method Statement, Job Safety Analysis and Risk Assessment.
- Good skill and knowledge in work related to General Civil, Foundation, Underground, Structure Steel, Building Drawings, General Arrange Drawings, Concrete Testing and Technical Queries, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (verbal & written)
- Basic computer software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
