The opportunity
Join our Dry Transformer Engineering team and play a pivotal role in the development of advanced transformer technologies that elevate safety, efficiency, and sustainability across critical power networks.
In this position, you will collaborate with cross‑functional partners — including R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain — to translate complex customer requirements into reliable, manufacturable engineering solutions.
How you'll make an impact
Conduct structural analysis by hand calculations and finite element simulations on electrical machines for a variety of load cases (e.g. lifting, seismic, short circuit, shock, fatigue etc.)
Perform experimental test for the validation of finite element models through comparison with experimental results
Conduct experimental testing campaign for the diagnostic of structure-borne and air-borne noise of electrical equipment
Ensure that all structural designs complie with relevant industry codes, standards and regulations
Prepare detailed structural reports to be delivered to our customers
Assist the design engineers in the development of transformer and reactors structural components
Support other departments in preparing for customer technical meetings and design reviews
Your background
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
Proficiency with numerical and analytical calculation software such as ANSYS, nCode, Fluent, MATLAB
Knowledge of relevant building codes (Eurocode) and regulations
Experience with noise and vibration measurements and relevant data post-processing
Work experience in the transformer industry as well as knowledge of transformer manufacturing process, assembly procedures and best practices is a plus
Experience with CAD software such as CREO and Inventor is an advantage
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written
Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team
