Structural Fitter
Coastal Steel Construction Limited is a leading manufacturer, distributor of custom structural steel fabrication. Coastal specializes in active and energetic workplace. We offer a wide range of services including steel fabrication, product sales and installation services.
This full time Structural Fitter position requires someone with skill, ambition and experience in the conventional steel industry. In this demanding role, you will be an integral part of our shop team. This is a great opportunity to make significant contributions to our company and grow professionally with the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and understand engineered drawings, plans and blueprints
Organizing parts
Stamping and tagging
Competent use of equipment and tools including overhead cranes, hoists, welding machines and cutting torch
Cutting and drilling of steel,
Fitting, fabrication and welding
Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods
Occasional basic equipment maintenance
Qualifications:
Three or more years fitting experience specifically in structural steel fitting, fabrication and welding
Physically fit and able to frequently lift in excess of 50 pounds
Salary: $36.00 / Hour

Job Type: Full-time permanent, 32 hours per week
Language: At least intermediate English is required.
