Job Description

Location: San Fernando,Central Luzon,Philippines

The Structural Engineer will be supporting Planate Management Group’s clients in providing design plans on activities which consist of all aspects of electrical engineering work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform design work for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects
  • Interpret and adapt in traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards
  • Responsible for selected construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers
  • Develop cost estimates and time schedules, review and analyze preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy
  • Provide QA/QC work as needed
  • Prepare necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports and prepare final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractors
  • Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications
  • Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards
  • Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies a load analysis) to perform engineering tasks as assigned.
  • Support the different divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definition
  • Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects, and serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers in the division
  • Can adapt to current and latest technical innovations in electrical engineering
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Licensed Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years in structural design and field experience
  • Experience and familiarity with Federal building design criteria and construction guide specifications is an advantage
  • Willing to learn and adapt to various situations; multi-tasker.
  • Adequate relevant training
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication and skills
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new technologies
  • Possess a Philippine passport and a driver’s License.
