Tomlinson is currently searching for a motivated and energetic individual to join our in-house engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, drafting, and inspection of various temporary structures required during heavy civil construction projects, and for general engineering support for all Tomlinson divisions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Structural analysis of various temporary systems such as formwork, falsework, shoring, scaffolding, etc.Design and drafting of the abovementioned temporary systems using relevant Canadian design codesPerform site inspections and provide quality verification engineering servicesProvide site supervision and technical support to Project Managers as requiredWriting of field reports or certificate of conformances after site inspectionsWriting of technical memos
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringMaster’s degree would be considered an assetMust have at least 5 years of relevant experienceExperience in bridge construction is preferredRegistered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of OntarioExperience in steel, wood, and reinforced concrete designExtensive knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design CodeExperience using AutoCADExperience using various structural analysis programs such as SAP2000, DeepEx, Hilti Profis, etc.Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
The expected range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 annually. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
