Business Development & Commercial Support (Optional)

• Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, cost estimates, man-hour calculations, and project execution plans for potential and ongoing projects.
• Provide realistic and technically justified estimates to support business development and sales activities.
• Assist in managing project costs and controlling expenditure associated with engineering and site activities.
• Contribute to identifying new business opportunities and promote Bureau Veritas engineering and technical service capabilities to existing and prospective clients.

Long Description 1

Technical Engineering & Design Review

• Conduct independent structural design reviews and technical assessments of material handling systems, conveyor systems, lifting appliances, cranes, and associated supporting structures.
• Perform structural integrity assessments, stability evaluations, fitness-for-service studies, residual life assessments, and life-extension analyses for existing assets and infrastructure.
• Review and verify engineering calculations, design methodologies, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with applicable national and international codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Develop and apply detailed methodologies for structural design reviews and technical assessments, including the establishment of new review procedures where methodologies are not readily available.
• Carry out advanced structural analyses, including finite element analysis (FEA), dynamic assessments, fatigue evaluations, and other specialized engineering studies as required.
• Prepare and review General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, connection details, structural calculations, Bills of Quantity (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), and engineering specifications.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, retrofit, strengthening, rehabilitation, and life-extension strategies for existing structures and equipment.
• Critically evaluate design assumptions, load cases, calculation models, analysis results, and conclusions to ensure technical accuracy, reliability, and engineering integrity.

Project Execution & Client Support

• Execute assigned projects efficiently and ensure timely delivery of engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and other client deliverables within agreed schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution to ensure alignment of technical requirements and project objectives.
• Review vendor and subcontractor designs, specifications, scope of work, and deliverables to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and proactively manage technical challenges, risks, resources, and priorities to achieve project milestones.
• Participate in technical meetings, workshops, audits, inspections, and client discussions, providing sound engineering recommendations and technical justification.
• Support site investigations, inspections, structural condition assessments, and field engineering activities where required.
• Undertake domestic and international travel to client sites, vendor facilities, and project locations as necessary to support project execution.
• Support the Team Lead/ Manager (Design Review) and BV Management in achieving departmental objectives, strategic initiatives, business development activities, and operational excellence goals.
