To support our success and recent growth, Sedgman is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Brisbane.

The role will require but not be limited to:

  • Detailed concrete and steel design, including interaction with Drafters to produce models and documentation in line with QA Compliance
  • Concept studies, including estimating quantities and preliminary designs
  • Assist with construction enquiries, including safe lifting and erection
  • Interface with other Engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Process and Mechanical
  • Focus on technical innovation and continuous improvement
  • Office based position in Brisbane with short term site visits required


What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor of civil (structural) engineering
  • A strong desire and willingness to develop a career within the Metals and Minerals processing industry
  • At least 2-3 years experience as a Structural Engineer in design, consultancy or operational environment.
  • Previous Minerals or Metals industry experience would be highly regarded
  • Ability to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities and activities
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
