We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer – Industrial (Mining & Resources)to join our Perth, WAoffice.
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of industrial structuresacross the resources sector—supporting projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.You’llwork closely with civil, mechanical, process, piping, electrical and project delivery teams, producing practical,safeand buildable structural solutions for challenging operational environments (including brownfield sites where applicable).
Deliver structural analysis and design for industrial steel and concrete structures(e.g., platforms, pipe racks, equipment support frames, transfer stations,gantries,buildingsand ancillary structures).
Design foundationsand support arrangements,coordinating withgeotechnical inputs and construction constraints.
Produce high-quality engineering deliverables: calculations, design reports,specificationsand design sketches, supporting drafting/modelling teams.
Use structural software such as SpaceGassandStrand7(or equivalent) to develop and check models and outputs.
Coordinate interfaces with multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure coordinated, buildable outcomes.
Support constructability and Safety in Design,participatingin reviews, risk workshops and value engineering whererequired
Provide construction supportincluding RFIs, technical clarifications, site input and as-built/close-out requirements as needed.
Demonstrated experience in structural design for industrial facilities, ideally within mining and resources(materials handling, process plants, conveyors/transfer stations, pipe racks, platforms, tanks, equipment support structures,foundationsand brownfield upgrades).
Working knowledge and application of relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 1170, AS 4100, AS 3600and related industry guidelines.
Proficiencywith structural analysis/design tools such as SpaceGassandStrand7(or equivalent); familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and/or Teklaisadvantageous
Strong communicationskills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivery.
Degree qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering (working toward Chartership is highly regarded).
