Based in Brisbane, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Structural Designer / Drafter to join us at HK Solutions, a growing national engineering consultancy where your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of structural projects across Australia.

You’ll take ownership of the drawing and documentation package on your projects, working closely with structural engineers and project managers to take designs from concept through to construction. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply be picking up redlines - you’ll be trusted to manage the drafting and modelling requirements of your projects, contribute your technical knowledge, and have genuine input into how structural solutions are developed and documented.

THE ROLE

Working as part of our structural engineering team and based in Brisbane, you will work with engineers to develop coordinated documentation, for the delivery of high-quality structural projects. Your day-to-day work will typically include:

• Preparing detailed structural documentation and drawings using Revit 3D and AutoCAD
• Assisting with technical inspections and preparation of supporting documentation and reports
• Supporting the development and standardisation of drafting systems
• Contributing to smooth project delivery in collaboration with the broader team
• Interacting with our broader team for successful project delivery
• Bringing fresh ideas and technical creativity to our national structural engineering group

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In your first 12 months, you'll:

• Become a trusted member of our structures engineering team
• Deliver accurate, high-quality design documentation across multiple projects
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Contribute ideas that improve project outcomes and team efficiency
• Be trusted to run the drafting on your own projects with genuine autonomy

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a proactive and collaborative approach. You'll ideally bring:

• Solid experience in structural design drafting and modelling
• Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of the practical application of NCC and Australian Standards relevant to structural construction
• Experience assisting with construction inspections and structural condition assessments is desirable
• A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to process improvement
• Keen attention to detail, with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
• Alignment with our company values, with a desire to contribute to a positive team culture
