Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate 3D structural steel models using Autodesk Revit.
Model structural steel elements
Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
Create and maintain Revit families for structural steel components when required.
Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, and multidisciplines.
Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection using Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and mark-ups before modelling.
Incorporate engineer and client comments accurately within project timelines.
Ensure models comply with company BIM standards, naming conventions, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
Produce schedules, quantities, and material take-offs from Revit models.
Maintain model health by managing warnings, worksets, linked models, and file performance.
Support BIM Coordinators in model reviews, quality assurance, and coordination meetings.
Deliver project milestones within agreed schedules while maintaining high quality.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure.
Strong understanding of structural steel framing systems.
Good knowledge of structural engineering drawings and design documentation.
Experience with:
Autodesk Navisworks
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360)
AutoCAD
Ability to create and modify Revit families and templates.
Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), ISO 19650, and company BIM standards.
Understanding of Levels of Development (LOD 200–400).
Experience in model coordination and clash detection.
Qualifications
ITI/Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit) is desirable.
