Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for Structural Analysis Engineers (Associate, Experienced or Senior) to support our Airframe Customer Support Engineering, specifically the 777/777X Wing/Emp Team, located in Seal Beach, California.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Structural Analysis Engineers.

As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will leverage the extensive resources and deep technical knowledge of the Boeing enterprise while enjoying the agility and fast-paced environment of a smaller team. This role offers unique opportunities to collaborate globally, develop innovative solutions to complex structural challenges, and contribute to rapid aircraft repair processes—enabling the return of airplanes to service in as little as four hours. Ideal candidates will be driven, resourceful, and passionate about advancing fleet reliability and safety through cutting-edge structural analysis and repair methodologies

Boeing Customer Support operates to serve our global customers on a 24/7/365 basis. While this position’s initial work assignment will be on 1st Shift, Boeing reserves the right to later change the work assignment to a nonstandard shift (e.g. afternoon, night time, weekends) to meet its business needs. Boeing offers rate incentives for these non-standard shifts.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Seal Beach, CA location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and approves engineering data that supports airframe repairs and service bulletins for Boeing 777 and 777X aircraft

  • Performs detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity (margins of safety), using classical techniques and Boeing tools

  • Supports analysis responses to customer inquiries, service bulletin development, failure investigation, regulatory agency coordination and to show compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Researches and prepares data to support definition of structural design requirements

  • Provides expertise to respond to customer inquiries and investigate failures to maintain continued airworthiness/mission capability

  • Responds to emergent requests for safety of flight decisions

  • Accounts for customer impact of solutions and provide temporary repair options when a permanent repair is not feasible

  • Develops, deploys and supports in-house and commercial application software to enable efficient performance of engineering tasks

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

  • 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2 or more years’ of experience in structural analysis

  • Willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 or more years’ of experience with structural analysis methods and repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques, damage tolerance methods used in maintenance programs)

  • Technical Knowledge in system controls, mechanical systems, systems modeling, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics

  • Experience with 777 or 777X airframe structural analysis

  • Experience with Carbon fiber wing structures

pay range Associate (Level 2): $96,300 - $117,700

pay range Experienced (Level 3): $117,900 - $144,100

pay range Senior (Level 4): $143,100 - $174,900
