Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Stress Engineer - Expression of Interest (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan

• supports the lead for all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter;
• control the modeling and performing stress analysis using approved software tools (e.g. Caeser II) and developing stress critical line lists and stress analysis reports performs work which involves conventional Brownfield and Greenfield engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements;
• responsible for Conducting onshore and offshore Piping surveys;
• supports Lead Piping Engineer and Project Management Team with development of Cost-Time-Resources (CTRs)
• responsible for meeting discipline cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables, coordinates department work schedule, and prepares progress reports on assigned projects;

• higher (technical) education;
• work experience in the respective position no less than 5 year
• proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates;
• professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution;
• professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards;
• technically competent in own discipline, pursues continuous professional development of skills and knowledge according to standards;

• maintains own knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promotes to direct reports;
• applies mature professional knowledge and experience to assignments where issues and factors to be considered may be characterized by unusual demands and require additional evaluation to establish the nature and scope of the problem;
• demonstrated ability to apply advanced laws, principles, mathematics or industry knowledge in the improvement and development of designs;
• demonstrated skills in persuasion, negotiation, motivation and communication;
• demonstrated proficiency in project planning;
• possess a working knowledge of the various Business Units, Functions, Sectors and services offered within business area, and general understanding of other Wood business offerings.
