Streetlight/LED Foreman

Position Purpose:

The Streetlight/LED Foreman is expected to lead a crew for our Street Light Divisions and establish and maintain a healthy, working relationship between River City Client Companies while remaining compliant with both River City and Client Company guidelines.

Responsibilities/Duties/Knowledge:

• Plan assignments for Streetlight/LED day and night crews.
• Maintain direct communication with Customers/Client Company and problem solving as needed.
• Conduct field checks on crews to ensure goals are met on time.
• Assist LED crews as needed with any field questions.
• Coordinate with Customers/Clients to ensure all materials needed to perform job are provided.
• Conduct safety meetings.
• Ensure proper rubber goods are available on trucks to perform duties assigned.
• Monitor weather forecast and conditions.
• Reviewing conversation maps and plans.
• Train new and inexperienced crew members in the field.
• Ensure assigned crews are properly trained to complete all tasks.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and requirements to ensure crews are working safely.
• Aiding in the set-up of traffic control based on project need.
• Verify time sheets of all assigned crews and hours worked are recorded accurately.
• Assist with getting miss U tickets called in.
• Hiring and vetting potential candidates and accessing their skills and knowledge based on positions available.
• Setting up lodging for assigned crews and ensuring all information is conveyed to those needing the accommodation.
• Organizing and maintaining all workflow folders and ensuring they are emailed to designated districts.
• Investigate the scene of any accident or incidents that occur involving any assigned crew members.
• Responsible for any disciplinary actions up to and including termination within assigned crews.
• Assist General Foremen as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 4 years of experience of all aspects of construction and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities. Experience leading complex maintenance or construction projects independent of direct leadership.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.
• Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required, night shifts, work out of town if needed.
• Position requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
• Ability to multitask, collaborate with others, set priorities, and take initiative.
• Demonstrated success supporting a team through complex project execution.

This is a safety sensitive position that requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
