Principal Responsibilities / Position Purpose

The Street Team is made up of dependable, part-time, on-call employees who have a strong passion for craft beverages and a belief in our brand. Street Teamers are tasked with helping to set up, execute, and break down beer and THC-infused beverage samplings, brand activations, and retail initiatives, while upholding our merchandising and brand standards at on- and off-premise accounts through surveying and merchandising.

The ideal candidate will possess an outgoing, charismatic personality with a strong desire to engage with consumers and share knowledge about Funky Buddha’s portfolio of products. Knowledge of craft beer styles, history, and brewing techniques is a plus, as is familiarity with emerging beverage categories such as THC-infused products; however, a willingness and eagerness to continue learning about the beverage industry, applicable regulations, and responsible service practices is required.

Example of Duties

Essential Functions

• Work with the Events Supervisor to create engaging, compliant, and compelling interactions with customers and accounts
• Speak knowledgeably about Funky Buddha brands, including beer and THC-infused beverages, and educate consumers and accounts on product characteristics, serving guidelines, and brand positioning
• Conduct beer and THC-infused beverage samplings at events, retail accounts, and other approved locations in accordance with all applicable laws, company policies, and brand standards
• Merchandise and survey off-premise accounts to ensure brand visibility and compliance
• Care for, transport, and set up promotional equipment such as pop-up tents, draft boxes, banners, signage, and flags
• Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned
• Complete detailed event and account recaps, including photos and observations, following all events and visits
• Maintain a personal vehicle with required insurance coverage, including Personal Injury Protection and Uninsured Motorist coverage, with proof thereof (minimum coverage limits: $50,000 Bodily Injury Each Person; $100,000 Bodily Injury Each Accident; $25,000 Property Damage Each Accident)
• Maintain a clean driving record free of DUI or related offenses

Safety Requirements

OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that present potential risk to health or safety:

• Safety goggles when walking through the Production area

Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. Funky Buddha Brewery provides required PPE. Employees are responsible for reporting defective, damaged, or improperly fitting PPE or equipment to their Manager.

• High energy level and flexibility, with a pleasant demeanor, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to learn and follow applicable regulations and company policies related to alcohol and THC-infused beverage education and sampling
• Ability to use basic computer programs such as Word (Docs) and Excel (Sheets)

Qualification Standards

Education

• High School diploma preferred

Experience

• Prior event or brand ambassador experience preferred
• Hospitality, beverage, or retail experience preferred

Licenses or Certificates

• No special licenses or certificates required

Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

Other

• Additional language proficiency preferred
