About the Role & Team
The Live Orchestration Department at DE&E Technology consists of agile and responsive teams of technicians that perform the daily processes and proceduresrequiredto run our live and on-demand streaming video products. The department’s responsibilities consist of round-the-clock support for these products, ensuring proper functionality across all platforms. Oversight includes both Linear and Event based content, hands-on operational and procedural support for our products, including system health monitoring and incident management, in addition to live and VOD streaming media orchestration using proprietary software.
A qualified Streaming Media Lead is a key member of a daily operations team responsible for delivering high profile media products tomarket Bypossessingadvanced workflow knowledge and operational experience, this Lead has exceptional and specializedexpertisein an analytical/scientific method or operational process, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. In addition, responsibilities will include collection and organization of data files that drive platforms duringoptimaland service-outage incidents, and perform client and product support as needed, which can include holidays,nightsand weekends.
An Operations Lead will also:
Serve as a shift leader
Implement guidancein regards totechnology improvement and daily operations
Run incident management during service outages
Generate procedure documentation
Provide operational efficiency feedback to leadership

What You Will Do

Responsible for following operational procedures and raising awareness of issues in workflows when they arise

Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

Execute defined processes tovalidatethe quality and availability of live content streams

Records steps to troubleshoot workflows when issues arise

Fields workflow requirements from senior staff and gathers data in support of documentation of workflows

Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum andPreferred Inclusive of Licenses/Certs(include functional experience as well as behavioralattributesand/or leadership capabilities)
Basic Qualifications
6+ years of experience in a relevant technical,operationalor digital media environment with proven leadership skills
Deep understanding of live streaming media workflows
Exhibits broad skills in data synthesis and data processes
Ability to implement guidanceregardingdata and technology improvement information from Supervisor
Ability to construct workflow requirements and ensures that team members understand documentation and troubleshooting procedures
Ability to serve as a subject matter expert during Priority 1-2 Incidents
Additional Information
This is an operational role based within a 24/7 environment, and shift-based availability will berequired
Some on-call or extended-hour work may be necessary to support major events or business-critical activity.
