What You Will Do
The Live Orchestration Department at DE&E Technology consists of agile and responsive teams of technicians that perform the daily processes and proceduresrequiredto run our live and on-demand streaming video products. The department’s responsibilities consist of round-the-clock support for these products, ensuring proper functionality across all platformsOversight includes both Linear and Event based content, hands-on operational and procedural support for our products, including system health monitoring and incident management, in addition to live and VOD streaming media orchestration using proprietary software.
The Streaming Media Assistant is a key member of a daily operations team responsible for delivering high profile media products tomarket Streaming Media Assistants routinely provide live, hands-on operational and procedural support for our partner products, including system health monitoring, routine issue mitigation, in addition to live and VOD streaming media orchestration using proprietary software.
Responsibilitiesand Dutiesof the Role
Responsible for following operational procedures and raising awareness of issues in workflows when they arise - 45%
Execute defined processes tovalidatethe quality and availability of live content streams - 45%
Executes system health monitoring and live and VOD streaming media orchestration using tools & software
Record steps to troubleshoot workflows when issues arise 10%
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum and Preferred. Inclusive of Licenses/Certs(include functional experience as well as behavioralattributesand/or leadership capabilities)
Basic Qualifications
Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong understanding of computers and applications.
Must have an exemplary attention to detail.
Mustpossessstrong communicationskills, including written andverbal
Mustpossesssolid organizational skills.
Mustbe able to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
Must have a strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
A solid computer and technical background, with experience working in digital media and online organizations.
Familiarity with streaming and broadcast media, particularly HTTP Live Streaming (HLS)
A team player who is enthusiastic witha strongwork ethic.
Ability to troubleshoot efficiently.
1-2 years of relevant working experience.
