JOB TITLE: Streaming Media Analyst

LOCATION: Mexico

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

The Live Operations Team at ViX is seeking a Streaming Media Analyst to support live streaming operations across sports and entertainment content, with a strong focus on soccer.

This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of live streaming operations, including live event scheduling, monitoring, incident escalation, troubleshooting, and operational documentation. The Streaming Media Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring a high-quality viewing experience across ViX, TelevisaUnivision, and third-party distribution platforms.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Content Operations, and external vendors to support live event execution and resolve operational issues in real time. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth streaming environment and contribute to the premier Spanish-language streaming platform.

  • You are comfortable working flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on live sports and event coverage needs. Remote support may be required during certain shifts, and you maintain a reliable home internet connection and workspace.
  • You proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, workflows, and team collaboration.
  • You are comfortable communicating with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and international stakeholders in both English and Spanish.
  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with modern operational and collaboration tools, including Jira, Slack, Teams, analytics dashboards, and video conferencing platforms.

Responsibilities:

Live Streaming Operations

  • Monitor and support live sports streaming operations across Web, Mobile, Connected TV (CTV), and third-party platforms
  • Monitor 10–50+ live sports events daily, with individual analysts supporting multiple concurrent live streams
  • Ensure streaming quality and proactively identify playback, encoder, application, or distribution issues
  • Monitor encoder health metrics and streaming performance dashboards

Incident Management & Troubleshooting

  • Provide Level 1 & 2 operational support for technical and non-technical teams
  • Troubleshoot streaming and content delivery issues and escalate incidents when necessary
  • Create, document, and track incidents and operational issues through ticketing systems such as Jira
  • Follow up with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely issue resolution and SLA compliance
  • Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Content Operations & Workflow Support

  • Support publishing, syndication, digital content delivery, and live streaming workflows
  • Use CMS platforms to schedule and manage future live sports events
  • Design, coordinate, document, and maintain operational content workflows
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to support publishing and syndication system integrations

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with development teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders to improve platform reliability and performance
  • Leverage dashboards, monitoring tools, and automation solutions to proactively identify issues and improve operational efficiency
  • Support ongoing process improvements and operational best practices

Qualifications - Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in streaming media operations, digital media support, broadcast operations, or related environments
  • 2+ years of experience in NOC operations, live event monitoring, or incident management
  • Strong understanding of digital video streaming workflows and content distribution
  • Experience troubleshooting live streaming, playback, and media delivery issues
  • Experience working with ticketing and collaboration tools such as Jira, Slack, and Teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure live environment
  • Fluency in Spanish and high proficiency in English
  • Experience supporting sports or live event streaming operations is highly preferred
