Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Strategy &
Transformation Senior Manager to join our team at our office in the City of
London. As a Strategy & Transformation Senior Manager, you’ll play a pivotal
role in converting Drax’s strategic ambition into reality through disciplined,
enterprise-level delivery.

Operating as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders,
you’ll lead high priority transformation initiatives, from concept through to
implementation, delivering value, return on investment and measurable business
impact.

About the role: 
As a Strategy & Transformation Senior Manager, you’ll be
responsible for designing and leading the delivery transformation initiatives,
translating strategic priorities into structured, sequenced execution plans
with clear milestones, dependencies, and accountability frameworks - with a
relentless focus on value creation and measurable outcomes.

You’ll engage and influence senior business stakeholders,
building strong relationships, securing sponsorship, and maintain alignment
throughout delivery to ensure strategic intent is preserved, blockers are
removed, and collaboration across functions is actively fostered to unlock
greater enterprise outcomes.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Scoping and delivering major transformational cross-functional change initiatives across operating model, growth, technology/AI, cost reduction and process reinvention topics
  • Driving value realisation, identifying value pools, defining and tracking benefits, and maintaining performance transparency to ensure transformation initiatives deliver maximised value aligned to Drax’s strategic ambition.
  • Partnering closely with Group Portfolio Management and Change & Project Management to align execution with governance and standards, ensuring assigned initiatives are connected to the enterprise-wide transformation roadmap, integration priorities, and Drax’s strategic ambition.

Who we’re looking for: 
To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have…  

  • Proven track record of leading and delivering strategic, complex, enterprise-scale transformation, preferably within Energy, Utilities or Power industry but this is not as prerequisite.
  • Experience of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, managing transformation governance, and delivering measurable outcomes and return on investment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and benefits-led thinking, with the ability to drive value realisation across complex, multi-workstream programmes.
  • Experience of M&A integration and divestment would be advantageous.
  • Strong programme architecture and delivery skills, with the ability to translate complex strategic priorities into structured execution plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder influencing and engagement skills, with the confidence and gravitas to bring constructive challenge at senior leadership level.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, combined with a naturally inquisitive mindset and the ability to solve complex, large-scale problems.
