Context and stakeholders :

You will join Saft Corporate entity dedicated to Performance & Growth and report to the Corporate Development & Strategy Director.

You will work with divisions across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

You will develop a broad view of Saft’s businesses and applications (ADP, CSE, ESS, IMI).

Activities

In this position, you will have the intellectual satisfaction of accompanying our leaders in their strategic thinking and your main missions will be to:

  • Lead the strategic planning cycle for Saft, consolidating inputs from entities and gathering internal/external data contributing to market, financial, and capacity forecasts.
  • Build fact bases and models; run strategic and financial analyses; and assess business cases to support planning, corporate initiatives, and strategic intelligence.
  • Drive strategic intelligence by monitoring competitors, technologies and markets, identifying signals, and flagging emerging threats and opportunities.
  • Support corporate projects (strategic partnerships, new plants, JVs, acquisitions) with robust economic assessments, clear frameworks, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Synthesize insights and present key messages to senior decision-makers.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Motivation to join an international affiliate and grow quickly with high impact
  • Interest in the challenges ahead in energy and battery markets
  • Curiosity about battery technologies, chemistries, and applications
  • Master’s degree in Business/Finance or Engineering
  • 6+ years’ experience in strategy, finance, or economist roles
  • Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel), proficiency in financial and economic modeling, and clear communication (PowerPoint)
  • Ability to synthesize complex information, take a step back, and propose new ideas
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and ability to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Fluency in French and English
