Strategy Officer (Operations & Growth)

Salary Range: ₦350,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly

The Strategy Officer will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, business optimization, and strategic execution across the organization's real estate portfolio. The role combines hands-on operational management with strategic planning to ensure seamless property operations, cost efficiency, compliance, and scalable growth.

The ideal candidate will work closely with senior management to streamline systems, supervise operational teams, manage vendors, and ensure all business activities align with corporate objectives and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy & Execution


  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company growth objectives

  • Streamline business processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability

  • Align all operational activities with monthly and long-term business goals

Property & Facilities Management


  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules across all properties to protect asset value

  • Monitor facility operations to ensure functionality, safety, and efficiency

  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective improvements

Vendor & Stakeholder Management


  • Source, vet, negotiate, and manage service providers and contractors

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, regulatory bodies, and partners

  • Ensure value-for-money service delivery without compromising quality

Financial Oversight & Cost Control


  • Track departmental expenditure against approved budgets

  • Identify cost inefficiencies and implement savings strategies

  • Monitor utility usage, logistics, and operational expenses to reduce wastage

Compliance & Risk Management


  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, environmental, and industry standards

  • Conduct routine audits to assess compliance and operational risk

  • Implement and enforce internal policies and operational best practices

Reporting & Performance Tracking


  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational performance reports (KPIs, occupancy rates, maintenance costs, etc.)

  • Provide insights and recommendations to management for decision-making

  • Maintain accurate operational and financial records

Leadership & Team Management


  • Supervise, guide, and mentor operational staff including property and leasing teams

  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement

  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across departments

Technology & Process Improvement


  • Identify and implement simple, cost-effective digital tools for automation

  • Improve operational tracking through data-driven systems and reporting tools

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Real Estate, or related field

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in operations, facilities, or property management

  • Proven leadership and team management experience

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial control, and compliance

  • Experience using CRM or real estate management software

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree or professional certification in Operations, Project Management, or Facilities Management

  • Experience managing multi-property or mixed-use real estate portfolios

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance standards

  • Familiarity with digital tools for operational analytics and reporting
