The Strategy & FinOps Manager owns the intersection of Financial Operations, Business Planning, and Strategic Initiatives across SSL LATAM. This role is responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, leading planning processes such as AOP and long-range strategic plans, and translating operational and financial insights into actions that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence across the region.
- Own the FinOps agenda across SSL (Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica), ensuring accurate collections, reconciliations, financial controls, and issue resolution across the merchant ecosystem.- Partner closely with Finance to develop a deep understanding of the business P&L, identifying risks, opportunities, and operational levers that impact profitability.- Lead financial and operational planning processes, supporting business reviews, forecasting exercises, target setting, and strategic decision-making across the region.- Design and implement scalable governance frameworks, controls, and reporting mechanisms to improve financial visibility and operational discipline.- Drive cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Operations, Product, Commercial, and Strategy teams to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.- Serve as the regional subject matter expert for FinOps, business planning, and profitability optimization across SSL markets.- Support the identification, prioritization, and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at improving customer experience, merchant performance, operational efficiency, and long-term business sustainability.
- 6-10 years of experience in Strategy, Finance, Operations, Consulting, Business Planning, or related analytical functions.- Strong understanding of financial statements, business performance drivers, and P&L management.- Advanced SQL and Excel proficiency; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.- Fluent in English and Spanish.- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development capabilities.- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and independently drive initiatives from problem identification to execution.- Comfortable communicating with senior leadership and presenting recommendations backed by data.- Experience in technology, e-commerce, marketplaces, delivery (particularly groceries) is preferred.
