Job Title: Strategy & Execution Excellence Director
The Strategy & Execution Excellence Director is a key leadership role within the country leadership team, responsible for driving the strategic and operational transformation of the business in Mexico. This role encompasses a comprehensive scope that integrates advanced data management and analytics, AI enablement, with business execution excellence, compliance leadership and new products. The Director will define and implement the organization’s transformation strategy with focus on the patient.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership and Organizational Transformation
- Define and lead the organization’s transformation strategy, integrating business vision with advanced data and digital technologies.
- Develop innovative and efficient models for field operations, optimizing resources and maximizing sales force effectiveness.
- Actively participate as a member of the Mexico Leadership Team, contributing to corporate goal setting and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with global or regional teams to align strategies and share best practices with a strategic focus.
2. Leadership of Data, Analytics, and Digital Areas
- Oversee the Data & Analytics function, responsible for applying statistical models to support data-driven decision-making, including marketing campaigns, sales channels, and business strategy evaluation.
- Lead the digital channels strategy, ensuring effective integration of digital platforms to enhance customer experience and commercial efficiency.
- Ensure data and digital technology usage aligns with business objectives and patient needs.
- Lead and champion AI enablement across the organization (use-case identification, prioritization, value tracking)
- Drive adoption and change management for AI-enabled workflows (sales, marketing, omnichannel, forecasting, insights generation).
- Partner with regional/global teams to scale reusable AI products and ensure local fit (data, regulatory, operating model).
3. Leadership of Execution Excellence
- Manage the Sales Force Effectiveness, and Incentives, ensuring operational excellence in daily business execution.
- Implement efficient field visit models to optimize productivity and impact of the sales force.
- Support design and implementation of new Go-to-market models.
- Design and manage incentive schemes aligned with strategic and operational company goals.
4. Leadership of Compliance Strategy
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the compliance strategy across the organization.
- Ensure that all commercial and operational activities adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with Legal, HR, and other relevant departments to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Promote a culture of integrity and compliance throughout the organization, providing guidance and training as needed.
5. New Product
- Develop comprehensive commercial strategies for pipeline assets before launch.
- Lead business cases for regulatory/launch prioritization process
- Understand disease burden and unmet needs, market competition, policy, regulatory, and access environment.
- Conduct forecasting scenarios and commercial assessments upon request from regional leadership.
- Develop market strategy per asset closer to launch, liase and align with the Global Strategy
- Assure alignment with local functions on new product access, policy, medical, finance, outcome research, regulatory, and supply deliverables.
6. Team and Resource Management
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 14 people at managerial and operational levels.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented work environment.
- Manage budgets and resources to maximize return on investment in strategic and operational initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Health Sciences, Economics, or related fields.
- Preferred advanced degree or MBA with a focus on strategy, digital transformation, or commercial management.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with proven leadership in strategic and operational roles or strategic leadership role at multi-national company
- Solid experience in pharmaceutical product launches and/or portfolio management across multiple therapeutic areas.
- Experience in organizational transformation, including implementation of digital and data-driven models.
- Deep knowledge of resource optimization and efficient field visit models for sales teams.
- Experience designing and managing incentive programs and commercial talent development.
- Experience leading adoption of digital, data, and technology within an organization
