Job Description

Imagine a future where you help shape the strategic direction for EPC and turn priorities into clear, actionable business plans across a critical part of Ørsted’s value chain.

Join us in this role where you’ll serve as a senior advisor and sparring partner to EPC leadership, ensuring strategic priorities are aligned across Ørsted and translated into actionable business plans. You’ll support strategic decision-making, business planning, and transformation across EPC, helping leaders create clarity, momentum, and impact in a complex, global environment.

Welcome to Strategy Execution & Transformation
You’ll be part of our Strategy Execution & Transformation organization consisting of a Strategy Business Partnering team as well as a Transformation Programs team and a Strategic Projects team. As part of the Strategy Business Partnering team, you will integrate strategic direction into business planning and support EPC leadership in making well-founded strategic decisions aligned with Group direction. You’ll work closely across functions and leadership teams to secure alignment, drive execution, and support transformation across EPC. EPC supports the project development phase through wind farm construction until transfer to operations. As a team, we work openly, challenge constructively, and share knowledge to turn strategy into practical impact.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • acting as a primary strategic sparring partner to EPC leadership and senior leadership teams, bringing new perspectives and ideas forward.
  • ensuring that strategic insights and priorities from EPC are represented in Group Strategy development and aligned with the wider organisation.
  • cascading Group strategic direction into business plans and transformation initiatives for EPC, ensuring that business plans, KPIs, and baselines support Ørsted’s strategic direction.
  • supporting the design and execution of strategic and transformation projects, removing roadblocks and helping teams maintain momentum.
  • identifying how EPC employees can meaningfully support and contribute to strategic and transformational initiatives across Ørsted.
  • collaborating across functions to secure coherence, shared learning, and strong execution across EPC’s leadership agenda.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong strategic thinking and a solid understanding of EPC, engineering, construction, and transformation in a complex business environment.
  • excel in stakeholder management and influencing at executive and senior levels.
  • bring experience in strategy development, business planning, transformation, or a similar strategic role.
  • are skilled in facilitation, communication, and navigating ambiguity with clarity and structure.
  • have a completed degree in business, economics, engineering, or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • thrive in a collaborative environment and act as a trusted advisor who turns analysis into practical action.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.

About Ørsted

Ørsted is the global leader in offshore wind power and is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world.

Within a decade, we transformed from being one of Europe’s most fossil fuel-intensive utilities to being ranked as one of the most sustainable energy companies in the world. Today, we’re guided by a clear vision: to create a world that runs entirely on green energy.

We provide countries, companies, and communities with sustainable, reliable, and cost-competitive energy solutions, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, renewable hydrogen, and energy storage. We built the world’s first offshore wind farm back in 1991, and with over 2,000 turbines at sea, we’ve installed more offshore wind capacity than anyone else. In total, we own or operate over 17 GW of renewable energy capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We know that to build renewable energy at pace and scale, we must build it right. We commit to developing and operating our assets in harmony with nature and in line with the need for science-based climate action. We prioritise integrity and safety in our operations, and we respect the human rights and diverse values of every employee and stakeholder.

As a global renewable energy leader, we leverage the curiosity and passion of our people to innovate and take new or existing technologies to scale, collaborating with governments, suppliers, and our industry partners to make green energy solutions a reality.
