We are seeking a Vice President candidate with technology / strategy consulting background to join our Transformation team in the Global Technology COO organization. Our transformation team partners on the strategy and execution of technology programs that are of strategic priority to the Global Technology organization and to JPMorgan Chase. Given the importance of these programs, as part of this role you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our most senior leaders across the firm.
As the Vice President in the Transformation team within the Global Technology COO organization, you will lead teams in solving complex problems, framing strategy decisions, and unblocking implementation issues critical to achieving a key strategic priority of the firm.
Responsibilities:
Design and drive solutions to accelerate decision making, scope problems, identify major issues and actionable opportunities, and quantify potential bottom-line financial impact
Drive the execution and delivery of programs at scale across the organization, building frameworks, content, hypothesis sets, analyses, and roadmaps for solutions
Own development of concise communication materials for senior management, including exec level audiences
Develop deep, trust-based advisor relationships with key client stakeholders in management, Global Technology and the Lines of Business (LoBs) to drive delivery and achieve organizational alignment and buy-in
Develop junior team members both formally and informally, including serving as a mentor
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technology transformation initiatives
Ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements and standards
Develop and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of modern technologies and processes.
Shape smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation initiatives
Identify implications and “so whats” of outputs, data and analysis and drive the narrative via charts and reports for executive consumption
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
7+ years consulting experience with a technology strategy consulting and/or leading delivery of large-scale strategic technology initiatives
Strong communication skills (both oral and written) as well as strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues as peers and achieve goals without direct control over resources
Knowledge and fluency in enterprise IT management and technology concepts including tech infrastructure, organization, product operating model, budgeting, talent, and risk management
Proven entrepreneurial drive to identify opportunities for impact and influence others to take action
Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical and qualitative tools to develop solutions
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Significant experience with PowerPoint for executive-level documents and Excel based models for analysis and planning
Tableau or similar BI experience for analysis is preferred
Financial services background experience
