The Strategist, Corning International supports the evolution of CINT Strategy from foundational capability-building to broader competency development across CINT-managed regions. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and strategy deployment/implementation experience. The Strategist will own the CINT market view, help develop processes for new CINT workstreams (e.g., partnership with Corporate Development), facilitate regional strategy refreshes, and provide analytical and execution support for CINT Strategy. The role is intended to strengthen cross-region execution of key priorities while building CINT’s strategic capability to better serve Corning’s interests across regions

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the CINT market view across regions for the annual strategy cycle, including alignment with MAPs; lead identified workstreams supporting the annual division strategy review.
  • Partner with Corporate Development and CINT regional leadership/strategy teams to define and operationalize the CINT/Corp Dev engagement model; support pipeline development and market scanning across regions.
  • Support and, where appropriate, own workstreams within strategic projects to help scale priority programs across regions (e.g., PCS/CPO in Asia, EIG program support, and other NBD initiatives).
  • Facilitate regional strategy refresh efforts in partnership with regional MAP and functional representatives.
  • Strengthen cross-region execution of strategic priorities by connecting stakeholders across Corning MAPs and functions, synthesizing insights, and driving follow-through on agreed actions.
  • Support Strategy Director, CINT in capturing best practices, applying strategy frameworks, and contributing to broader CINT Strategy capability-building.

Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced business degree required
  • 5+ yrs experience in strategy or corporate planning, management consulting, program management or related analytical/business roles
  • Strong problem-solving, market analysis, and structured thinking skills
  • Ability to work across regions, functions, and senior stakeholder groups across time-zones in a matrixed environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development and executive-level synthesis
  • Exposure to international and emerging markets is required; prior experience with regional strategy, or Corporate Development topics is a plus
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion and judgement
