About the job
As a Strategic System Architect, you will play a central role in shaping next-generation SoC products — from defining platform and IP architecture to guiding firmware development, verification, and meeting demanding performance, power, and area targets. This requires venturing into the unknown, analyzing upcoming requirements and technologies, such as post-quantum cryptography or artificial intelligence. You will collaborate closely with product management and cross-functional engineering teams, turning business requirements into precise technical specifications and driving products from concept to silicon and beyond. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience from embedded SW development with a strong understanding of the HW-SW boundary, a genuine passion for embedded systems and microcontroller architecture, and the rare ability to hold the full complexity of a product in mind while communicating with clarity across disciplines. This is not a pure software development role — it is a position for someone who wants to shape the architecture of tomorrow's embedded systems and leave a real mark on the products that power them. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities
Analyze and solve complex problems, e.g. algorithms or specific use cases, which require an understanding of the complete HW+SW system
HW+SW co-architecture for new products
Analyze and define how to improve the system support for embedded RTOSes, in particular Zephyr OS
Collaborate with product management to settle the requirements for a SoC product including the key performance indicators for HW and SW
Collaborate with product management to settle the system requirements for a SoC product including the key performance indicators for HW and SW
Guide and support development of low-level FW for the SoC platform/product
Guide and support verification and test of the SoC platform/product
Study how SW can be optimized to meet power, performance, and cost targets for a given SoC system.
Contribute to system modeling to verify HW+SW architecture proposals
Key Qualifications
Hands-on experience bridging software and hardware, with a strong ability to work cross-functionally with hardware teams and drive software-informed decisions at the hardware level.
Fast learner with a proven ability to adapt to new technologies and domains with minimal ramp-up time.
Strong interest in microcontroller-based system architecture and embedded design
Master's degree in electrical system engineering, technical cybernetics or similar
The ability to navigate in a global matrix organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Personal Skills
As our Strategic System Architect, you thrive at the intersection of technology and complexity. You naturally hold the full picture of a product in mind — from silicon architecture through firmware to verification — and you have a sharp eye for dependencies and trade-offs across digital, analog, and software layers. You don't wait to be told where the gaps are; you spot them, own them, and drive progress toward targets. What sets you apart is not depth in a single discipline, but the rare ability to move fluently across the full stack while communicating with clarity and precision at every level. If you're someone who gets energy from connecting the dots others miss, this role was built for you.
