  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s Program (B.S.) at a four-year college or university pursuing Supply Chain or General Business degree and have interest in learning or exp. with supply chain.
  • Junior year students preferred.
  • Location: Lake Mary, FL Headquarters
  • Work Schedule: Must be able to work 16-28 hours a week minimum. During School students can work a max of 28 hours a week during business hours and During school Breaks and Summer can work up to 40 hours a week as needed. (We will work around your school schedule).
  • Length of Internship: 1 Year Minimum and could extend longer OR turn into a full-time position with approved headcount.
  • Target start date is OCTOBER 12th and must be able to work over the Summer.

This internship position provides direct support to the Senior Director, Strategic Supply Chain Management (SCM). The intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple supply chain disciplines, including Direct Strategic Sourcing, Indirect Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Bottoming Cycle, Diamond Procurement Network (DPN), Cost Management, and the Power+ Supply Chain Transformation Program.

The intern will assist in the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives, strategic supply chain strategy development, supplier and capacity management activities, cost reduction projects, supply chain analytics, digital transformation efforts, and executive reporting. This role offers exposure to procurement processes, supplier relationship management, contract administration, category strategy development, cost management methodologies, and enterprise-wide supply chain transformation initiatives.

The learning objectives include developing a foundational understanding of strategic sourcing, procurement operations, supplier management, supply chain analytics, cost optimization, capacity planning, and transformation program management while supporting business objectives and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Director, Strategic SCM, the intern will:

  • Support strategic initiatives across Direct and Indirect Strategic Sourcing category management teams.
  • Assist with supplier capacity planning activities, long-term sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management efforts.
  • Support the Bottoming Cycle Supply Chain team with procurement activities, supplier coordination, and project execution requirements.
  • Assist with Diamond Procurement Network (DPN) initiatives, including supplier engagement, performance tracking, and process standardization.
  • Support Cost Management projects through data collection, spend analysis, benchmarking, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Contribute to Power+ Supply Chain Transformation Program activities, including process improvement projects, dashboard development, reporting, and data analytics.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and KPI reports using Power BI, Excel, and other digital tools.
  • Assist leadership in analyzing supplier performance, spend trends, sourcing opportunities, capacity utilization, and operational risks.
  • Support the management of approved vendor lists (AVL), supplier qualifications, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Prepare RFQs, support bid evaluations, and assist sourcing teams with supplier negotiations and purchasing activities.
  • Create, revise, and track purchase orders within SAP and support procurement process compliance.
  • Maintain supply chain records, sourcing documentation, contract files, and supplier-related information.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Commercial Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, business reviews, executive updates, and strategic sourcing reports for leadership.
  • Participate in supplier meetings, project reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives designed to strengthen supply chain performance.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Senior Director, Strategic SCM and functional leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) at a four-year college or university pursuing Supply Chain or General Business degree and have interest in learning or exp. with supply chain.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and basic database. Must have exp. with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel (Pivot tables, V look up etc. a PLUS), Power Point. Experience with Power BI, Tableau is a plus. Must be open to learning new programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate job tasks, goals and projects to global sourcing staff as well as manage and delegate when necessary.
