Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/yearASSA ABLOY Fenestration is seeking a dynamic Strategic Sourcing Specialist to accelerate and optimize sourcing activities and processes in an effort to drive key procurement initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable working with little supervision, have excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills. This role reports to the Director of Supply Chain but will receive additional direction by working closely with the Engineering, Operations, and Product Development teams.
What you will be doing:
You will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain by developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with urgent business needs. You will identify efficient, high quality, and cost-effective sourcing options, enabling you to lead supplier negotiations and manage vendor relationships throughout the supplier onboarding process. Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Product Management teams, you will ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
· Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to support business objectives and reduce total cost of ownership
· Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability criteria through issuance of RFP/RFQ’s
· Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements to ensure favorable terms and compliance
· Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure service level expectations are met
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Engineering to align sourcing activities and execute value engineering initiatives
· Understand market trends and supply chain risks to proactively and effectively identify sourcing opportunities and mitigation strategies
· Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier performance metrics
· Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
QualificationsPreferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field
· Professional certifications such as CIPP, CPSM, CSCP, or PMP
· 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or engineering
· Familiarity with manufacturing processes as well as tooling and molds
· Ability to read technical product drawings and semi-complex BOM’s
· Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
· Proficiency in sourcing tools and ERP systems
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
· Knowledge of trade compliance, supplier risk management, and global sourcing practices
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
· Above average ability with Microsoft Excel
· Fluency in Spanish
