Strategic Sourcing Regionalization Lead

Location: Mexico

Function: Supply Chain / Purchasing

About the Role

SKF is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Regionalization Lead to support strategic sourcing, supplier localization, cost optimization, and regional value content initiatives across Mexico and the USMCA region. This role will lead supplier scouting, sourcing analysis, tariff mitigation assessments, and cross-functional projects that strengthen supply chain competitiveness and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers within the USMCA region.
  • Support localization and regionalization initiatives.
  • Conduct supplier scouting, qualification, and onboarding activities.

Trade & Tariff Analysis

  • Assess sourcing alternatives and their impact on total landed cost.
  • Analyze tariffs, trade agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to mitigate trade-related costs and risks.

Cost Optimization & Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

  • Perform detailed TCO and cost analyses.
  • Develop business cases and strategic sourcing recommendations.
  • Drive cost reduction and value creation initiatives.

Project Management

  • Lead sourcing and localization projects from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation plans.

Strategic Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare executive presentations and recommendations.
  • Track savings, supplier performance, and localization metrics.
  • Provide insights to support business and sourcing decisions.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier development, or supply chain optimization.
  • Advanced/Fluent English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
