
The Sourcing Program Leader – Aero & Generator Risk Management is a strategic sourcing role responsible for driving financial rigor, operational visibility, and risk reduction across the Aero and Generator sourcing portfolio. Reporting to the Aero and Generator Sourcing Value Stream Leader, this role partners with sourcing, quality, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to improve cost competitiveness, financial performance, sourcing resilience, and process discipline.
This role requires strong experience in project finance, sourcing finance, and program management, with expertise in EAC, sourcing P&L management, deflation/productivity tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Financial & Operational Leadership
Lead program management support for the Aero and Generator sourcing value stream.
Own and improve EAC, forecasting, financial reporting, and escalation processes.
Drive deflation/productivity initiatives and track results against commitments.
Manage sourcing P&L impacts, including cost, inflation/deflation, and margin drivers.
Provide regular performance updates, including LRF and ED+ reporting.
Track OpEx and CapEx tied to sourcing initiatives.
Process & Governance
Own and maintain the sourcing finance handbook and annual standards updates.
Drive consistency, discipline, and continuous improvement in sourcing financial processes.
Support internal controls, audits, and process compliance.
Cost, Quality & Risk Management
Lead should-cost, tariff, and landed cost analysis to support sourcing decisions and margin protection.
Identify and mitigate sourcing-related supply, revenue, and supplier performance risks.
Support sole/single-source reduction and second-source development.
Partner with quality teams to reduce SDR/NCR and improve cost of quality performance.
Support recovery actions related to supplier quality and disruption issues.
Provide financial insight into strategic sourcing, supply chain continuity, and FHR risk reduction.
Additional Responsibilities
Act in accordance with GE Vernova Gas Power sourcing policies.
Align with Aero and Generator team SQDC priorities.
Lead execution of assigned generator OEM sourcing strategies.
Lead daily operations and KPI reporting/analytics for assigned generator OEMs.
Support integration of Steam Power generator sourcing processes, tools, strategies, and KPIs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
For applicants outside of the USA – significant sourcing experience and demonstrated leadership experience.
For applicants based in the USA – at least 5 years of sourcing experience and 2 years of people leadership experience.
Experience in project management and finance/business operations.
Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, energy, or supply chain-driven environments.
Strong knowledge of EAC, financial forecasting and reporting, deflation/productivity tracking, sourcing P&L management and cost and margin analysis
Working knowledge of ERP systems, Data Warehouse, and PowerSource.
Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
Fluent in English.
Desired Characteristics
Familiarity with should-cost modeling, tariff management, landed cost analysis, supplier quality recovery, CapEx/OpEx, and long-range forecasting.
Experience with supplier risk management, second sourcing, and sole/single-source reduction.
Leadership program certification (e.g., OMLP, LTT).
Background in Sourcing Operations & Transformation.
