Job Description

This role is responsible for building and sustaining sourcing training programs, strengthening sourcing governance practices, and partnering with key stakeholders to optimize Source-to-Pay (STP) systems and processes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve process consistency, system adoption, compliance, and overall sourcing effectiveness.   • Indirect Sourcing Training and Development:
  • Partner with the Talent and Training COE to design, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, playbooks, job aids, and standard work to support consistent execution of Indirect Sourcing processes
  • Collaborate with the Talent and Training COE to develop onboarding and ongoing learning programs for sourcing associates, business partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen sourcing capability and process understanding
  • Partner with category leaders and procurement stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps, training needs, and opportunities to improve sourcing effectiveness
  • Measure training adoption, effectiveness, and business impact through feedback, process metrics, and stakeholder engagement
  • Indirect Sourcing Governance:
  • Establish, maintain, and improve governance standards for Indirect Sourcing processes, tools, templates, approval flows, and documentation requirements
  • Drive sourcing process compliance by partnering with category management, procurement operations, finance, legal, and business stakeholders
  • Monitor sourcing governance performance through reporting, issue tracking, audit readiness, and continuous improvement routines
  • Lead governance routines to review process adherence, identify risks or gaps, and recommend actions to improve sourcing consistency and control
  • Procurement Technology Management:
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, system owners to understand how they use the systems to conduct daily transactional activities
  • Strategize and lead optimization projects to improve the efficiency and value that procurement technology solutions/systems can provide to the organization and Kroger
  • Create standard procedures to optimize technology and resolve issues for procurement systems
  • Manage systems and projects to achieve sourcing goals in accordance with Kroger’s policies and practices
  • Engage IT resources for enhancement or developmental requests
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of the systems and impact on the overall IT landscape
  • Define and implement a roadmap to meet the organization’s system and data management goals and objectives
  • Talent Management:
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties: complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
  • Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, communicating clear objectives, fostering teamwork, recognizing performance, providing on the job coaching
  • Maintain knowledge of other initiatives in Kroger that may affect the COE performance and operations
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Management, Technology, Retail, CPG, or similar
  • 3+ years of leadership/management experience with large complex organizations
  • 3+ years of experience with eSourcing, catalog implementation and management
  • Experience developing training materials, standard work, playbooks, process documentation, or capability-building programs
  • Ability to define governance standards, monitor compliance, identify process gaps, and partner cross-functionally to implement improvements
  • Proven experience with procurement technology, STP platforms, transactional activities and catalog enablement
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Vizio)
  • Ability to synthesize analysis into compelling oral and written communications and presentations

Desired

  • Master's Degree
  • 1 year of experience in a data organization, clearly exposed and performing tasks within different data governance aspects
