As a Strategic Solution Consulting Director you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world’s payments ecosystem!

The Strategic Solution Consulting Director is a senior leadership role responsible for executing on the growth objectives of the Retail and Real-Time Payments Solution portfolios. This role is responsible for articulating our vision and strategy, and positioning our solutions in the market in a way that aligns with ACI’s solution strategy and differentiates ACI from the competition. The role will have primary responsibility for transforming solution consulting from being product-centric to solution-centric, aligning go-to-market plans and refining value propositions that best represent the depth and breadth of ACI’s broad solution set. This role will ensure that steps in the sales process effectively define and demonstrate the value of ACI’s solutions and assist in acquiring new prospects and cross-selling solutions to existing customers. In working with Sales globally as well as Product Management this role will ensure solution consulting has a strong influence in the sales process and a strong voice into customer requirements and needs, including providing continual appropriate feedback. This role is accountable for creating a world-class solution consulting practice that combines strong industry knowledge, in-depth solution and technology knowledge, and advanced solution selling skills to influence and drive the customer or prospect to buy ACI solutions. In the go-to-market plan, it will be directly accountable for defining and executing on the solution consulting plan that achieves annual growth goals as defined in the Operating Plan.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead transformation from product-centric to solution-centric organization by identifying areas of improvement (performance, alignment, processes and functions) to better support ACI strategy and vision.
  • Provide strategic support to solution consulting team by synthesizing market trends, customer demands, regulatory drivers and competitor movements into go-to-market vision, strategic direction and articulation of action planning.
  • Embody and champion the ongoing strategy, mission and vision of ACI both internally and externally.
  • Actively communicate, educate and influence across ACI and customer executives to support customer sales and drive cross-ACI organizational synthesis into executable plans and tactics.
  • Drive understanding and adoption/activation of ACI’s solution set, how that fits into market specific infrastructure, with other ACI components, with customer systems and with those of our partners, now and into the future.
  • Be the voice of the customer, ensuring ACI’s payments solutions are understood and articulating in the language of the customer, and then mapping into ACI’s solution components, fostering easier solution understand between ACI, the customer and the market in general.
  • Support Sales globally, driving market assessment into pipeline targeting, account planning and strategy definition to deliver against sales objectives within the year while building a successful base to extend and deliver repeatable sales success into the future.
  • Foster a culture of value selling by driving understanding and best positioning of ACI’s value propositions and solution benefits.
  • Provide market intelligence input to Product Management and influence appropriate prioritization of product roadmap.
  • Attain and strive to exceed customer satisfaction metrics with regards to the product and solutions portfolio by having regular customer engagement in support of sales opportunities and building a network to support ACI in the global payments ecosystem (customers, market influencers, industry bodies, regulators, etc.).
  • Ensure appropriate plans are in place to establish, meet and exceed the strategic and operating plans, including Cross-functional coordination and alignment at an operational level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:

  • Master’s degree, preferably MBA, or equivalent.
  • Fifteen years of relevant business experience or equivalent.

  • Strong strategic thinker with demonstrated business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire and lead high performance teams.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proven success in defining payments solutions for market opportunities.

  • Strong technical skills and experience.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with experience marshaling resources across an organization and across multiple offices.
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts and solve complex problems.
