Our Water Services team clean water to the highest standard, deliver it to millions of homes, and carefully manage it to ensure it never runs out. We borrow water from the environment, storeitand treat it to world-class standards to supply safe drinking water to 4.3 million customers in towns and villages from Grimsby in the northeast of our region to Milton Keynes at the south-western tip.
AsStrategicProduction Lead,you’llplay a pivotal role in shaping how water movesacross Anglian Water’s increasingly connected Strategic Grid. Working at a regional,medium‑termlevel,you’llcreate and own strategicProductionPlans that balance operational, regulatory,environmentaland financial priorities. Acting as an influential interface between supply, water resources, capitalinvestmentand maintenance delivery,you’llensure production strategy supports resilience,performanceand future regulatory challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and embed strategicProductionPlanning capability across Water Services, acting as Supply’srepresentativein strategic decisions regardingproduction management
• Create and maintainmedium-term production strategies aligned to regulatory and operational needs, working with other stakeholders to ensure these are aligned across Water
• Arbitrate between competing priorities across supply, water resources, capital investment and maintenance
• Own and manage the calendar ofcapacity‑impactingplanned works across the Strategic Grid
• Lead demand forecasting and supply impact planning processes
• Represent Supply in strategicdecision‑makingforums and influence key stakeholders
•Work with Capital Investment teams to identify and shape capital investment opportunities arising from production planning insights
• Own production planning performance reporting, benefits realisation and cost forecasting
Requirements
• Extensive operational experience and specialist knowledge within the water industry
• Strong understanding of water resources management, asset management and investment planning
• Proven experience in strategic and regulatory planning environments
• Ability to lead, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders
• Experience of performance reporting, financial management or cost forecasting
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
