Job Title: Strategic Plans and Policy AdvisorJob Category: IntelligenceTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCIEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Local* * *

The Opportunity:

As a CACI Strategic Plans and Policy Advisor, in the USASOC TF 40-25 you will provide embedded planning support to USASOC/SOCOM and other government agencies in order share intelligence and planning concepts between organizations in support of executing SOCOM mission priorities. You will directly support Task Force 40-25 to support US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs), the Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and other Strategic Partners across the Special Operations Forces Emerging Threat, Operations and Planning Support (SOFETOPS) enterprise. To support United States Army Special Operations Command's (USASOC) core responsibility of providing trained and ready forces to meet Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) and Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) requirements, you will be responsible for providing accurate, relevant, and timely strategic, operational, and country-specific planning, analyses, and assessments. Recognizing that the breadth of hybrid and dynamic threat groups within each GCC's Area of Responsibility makes conventional force generation and deployment processes insufficient for providing tailored force packages, USASOC is transitioning to a truly data-driven organization. This transformation ensures the command is best postured to provide the proper mix of skills and equipment in time to prevent or address conflict in the current and next operational environments.

Responsibilities:

As a Strategic Plans and Policy Advisor, you will provide accurate, relevant, and timely strategic documentation that informs OPLANS, CONOPS, EXORDS, and other strategic documentation.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provides specialized expertise in completing CONOPs and CONEMPs in support of ARSOF missions and objectives.
  • Brief concepts, assessments, and final planning documents to executive audiences.
  • Provide strategic level planning and policy development for large and complex projects.
  • Coordinate, collaborate, and maintain liaison with the interagency community of practice, partners, and communities of interest to solicit and incorporate relevant data from existing national-level systems, products, and databases.
  • Provides an enhanced level of focused planning and analytic support to predict the accurate identification of adversarial intent, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and potential threat courses of action. Supervises and mentors junior and less experienced Strategic Planners as required.
  • Collaborates with TF 40-25 workforce and analysts to enrich and complement analytical understanding and mastery of strategic planning documents and production efforts.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Clearance.
  • A bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in SOF, or 15+ years of experience in SOF
  • A minimum of three years of experience in operations coordinating roles of responsibility within a tactical, operational, or strategic-level command or support to a DoD contract of similar size and scope.
  • Must be self-motivated and operate efficiently and effectively without direct supervision in joint and interagency environments while maintaining communication with and responsiveness to the client.
  • Working knowledge of the tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real-time or near-real-time knowledge management systems.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting USASOC, AFSOC, NSWC, MARSOC or Joint SOF organizations.
  • Must work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
