Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in a chief of staff, strategy, or operations role within a technology company.
  • Experience scaling operations and building repeatable processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and alignment across product, engineering, and business teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with AI, machine learning, or developer-focused platforms and ecosystems.
  • Experience managing the operational rhythm for major product launches or industry events (e.g., Google I/O).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high-level strategy into tactical execution plans and operational infrastructure.
  • A strong "builder" mentality with the ability to navigate ambiguity, solve undefined problems, and test assumptions.
  • Passion for developer communities and making frontier technology accessible and useful to a global audience.

The Gemini API and Google AI Studio team support millions of developers and process trillions of tokens, serving as a critical access point for Google’s latest Generative AI models. This platform is central to Google’s AI strategy, enabling builders to rapidly create AI-powered applications with minimal friction while ensuring secure and scalable access to models and agents.

In this role, you will operate at the heart of Google’s developer AI strategy, at the intersection of DeepMind’s frontier research and the scale of the Google Cloud ecosystem.

You will act as a multiplier for leadership, ensuring that the organization moves with the velocity of a startup while maintaining the operational excellence required to support millions of global builders. You will drive alignment across product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure Google remains the premier destination to accelerate the path from prompt to production.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $236,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

  • Drive internal processes, headcount planning, and organizational rhythm to ensure velocity. Drive initiatives that strengthen the team's culture of "Human-Centric AI," ensuring the organization remains user-obsessed as it scales to manage hundreds of trillions of tokens.
  • Manage the organization’s operational operating system. Oversee planning cycles, product reviews, leadership forums, resource management, and key feedback loops to ensure organizational alignment and execution excellence.
  • Represent the Head of AI Studio in high-stakes technical and business forums across DeepMind and Google Cloud. Empowered to make high-judgment decisions to unblock teams and maintain momentum.
  • Oversee the tracking of critical success indicators, including developer adoption, API performance, and customer satisfaction, providing leadership with the insights needed for rapid decision-making.
  • Lead the operational execution for major industry milestones, ensuring the product narrative and technical infrastructure are ready for global stage moments.
