Strategic Partner, Asset & Wealt Management Office

Would you like to be part of shaping and delivering on Asset & Wealth Management’s (AWM) ambitious 2030 strategy? We are expanding the AWM Office in Oslo and are seeking a visionary, commercially-minded and exceptionally structured strategic partner to shape and drive transformative initiatives from insight generation to operationalization. This position offers unique visibility into executive decision-making and the opportunity to drive meaningful change across the organization.

About this opportunity

AWM brings together Private Banking, Nordea Asset Management, and Nordea Life & Pension to serve as Nordea’s center of excellence for savings and investments. The AWM Office sets priorities, turns strategy into actionable plans, and supports strategic decision-making with evidence-based insights, as well as providing top-tier support to the Business Area Head.

As the Strategic Partner, you will help shape and deliver the AWM Office’s strategic agenda, tackle complex initiatives, advise the leadership team, and influence key decisions while developing your skills alongside us.

Reporting to the Head of AWM Office, you’ll work with a high-performing team to lead strategic projects, deliver executive analyses, and create decision materials for stakeholders. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment that values commercial acumen, structured thinking, and bold change. This senior role offers direct access to AWM leadership and the chance to shape and execute the 2030 strategy while advancing your expertise and impact.

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Drive strategic planning processes and ensure integration with Nordic-wide strategic initiatives
  • Facilitate complex strategic topics across markets and the value chain, to arrive at clear conclusions and recommendations
  • Monitor strategic progress and provide regular updates to senior leadership on key milestones and deliverables Support the effective execution of our ambitious business plans
  • Act as an advisor and sparring partner for the AWM leadership team

The position provides unparalleled access to the AWM leadership team and the wider executive committee, requiring a candidate who can confidently advise senior stakeholders, challenge the status quo, and champion innovation within Asset & Wealth Management.

You are a strategic and structured driver, able to quickly distill the essence of complex challenges and identify connections. With a keen eye for both detail and the bigger picture, you excel at transforming complexity into clarity. Your ability to synthesize information, simplify intricate concepts, and create clear, compelling materials establishes you as an invaluable asset and trusted advisor across stakeholders. You are also an attentive and empathetic listener, ensuring that diverse perspectives are heard and valued, which further strengthens your role as a collaborative partner in any team environment.

Building engagement, influence across organisational levels and taking ownership are elements that all comes natural to you. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working cross-functionally, and bring energy, curiosity, and strong team spirit to everything you do.

Your background and skills include: 

  • Extensive experience with strategy and business planning processes from strategy consultancy firms, investments, private banking or project work
  • Strong "doer" mentality who thrives in complex environments—generating ideas, solving problems independently, and communicating solutions effectively
  • Deep understanding of Nordic markets and customer-centric approach to banking
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Strong communication skills and able to get the message across at every level
  • Have an analytical mindset with a genuine passion for structured problem‑solving
  • Hold an MSc or similar/higher degree
  • Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language
