Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are also eligible for an annual bonus incentive. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

The Principal, Strategic Operations will lead and support enterprise revenue and pricing management initiatives across Brookdale’s senior housing portfolio. This role will serve as a senior financial thought partner to Strategic Operations, translating complex operating and financial data into actionable recommendations that improve revenue, occupancy, margin, and return on investment. While Revenue and Pricing Management will be the primary focus, the role will also provide financial analysis, planning, and decision support across Service Alignment and labor management, Asset Management and CapEx, and other Strategic Operations priorities as needs evolve.
- Lead advanced financial analysis and decision support for Revenue and Pricing Management, including dynamic pricing, repricing, discount and incentive strategies, care pricing, and other revenue optimization initiatives across independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
- Develop and evaluate pricing strategies using market demand, competitive positioning, occupancy, rate, customer experience, and profitability data; translate findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership and field Operations.
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models, scenario analyses, scorecards, and performance tracking to measure the financial impact and effectiveness of pricing, revenue, labor, and capital initiatives.
- Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, FP&A, Clinical, Asset Management, and other Centers of Excellence to align recommendations with community-level realities and enterprise objectives and to accelerate disciplined execution.
- Provide financial planning and analytical support across broader Strategic Operations priorities, including Service Alignment and labor management, Asset Management, CapEx, and other cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Support capital allocation and post-investment analysis by evaluating expected and realized returns, including the relationship between capital investment, pricing, occupancy, revenue, and operating performance.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators and governance routines that improve visibility, accountability, and follow-through; identify trends, risks, exceptions, and opportunities requiring leadership attention.
- Prepare concise executive-level analyses, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership, field Operations, and other stakeholders; communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting, analytics, data integrity, and decision-support processes, including thoughtful use of enterprise AI platforms, automation, visualization, and other analytical technologies.
- Provide leadership across projects and cross-functional workstreams, influence decisions without relying solely on formal authority, and help prioritize work based on enterprise value, financial impact, effort, and strategic importance.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Accounting, or a related field required; advanced degree or relevant professional designation preferred.
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressive financial planning, financial analysis, pricing, revenue management, or related experience required.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in senior housing required, with demonstrated understanding of community operations, occupancy, revenue, margin, and key operating drivers.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, Oracle, SmartView/Essbase, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large and complex data sets, identify material insights, and translate analysis into practical business recommendations and measurable actions.
- Strong executive presence, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial concepts and recommendations to senior leaders and non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong cross-functional leadership, project management, judgment, and influencing skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively across Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Asset Management, and other enterprise functions.
- Working knowledge of enterprise AI platforms and emerging analytical technologies, with the ability to apply them responsibly to research, analysis, scenario development, process improvement, and executive decision support.
