The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and executing market strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage across key market segments. This role leverages market insights to define segment strategies and identify opportunities to build a robust pipeline of innovations aligned with customer needs and business objectives. Acting as a strategic leader, the manager will guide the organization in deploying segment-specific strategies and ensure prioritization of high-impact projects that deliver on organizational and segment specific strategies. The position serves as a link between market intelligence, innovation development, and commercial execution, enabling the business to anticipate trends, respond to competitive dynamics, and deliver differentiated solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of a product, service, or marketing area under guidance from senior colleagues.
Support the collection of data and participate in reviews of marketing activities to identify opportunities for improvements.
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Plan and deliver projects or workstreams, using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are achieved.
Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
Contribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns, arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Develop strategy for market segments and communicate and implement the strategy. Continuously refine and adjust strategy based on market intelligence and learnings.
