Job Description

As Strategic Lead, Packaging & Logistics Excellence - Senior Specialist, you will be part of Global Warehouse operation and development, a Team based in 2 locations in Europe and reporting to manager based in Denmark. Therefore, you may expect to travel up to 30+ days annually. You should represent the end-to-end logistics demand within product /packaging development projects.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading a cross functional NETWORK group within Products, Operation and Supply, Procurement in order to align on requirements towards product packaging
  • Developing innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions for distribution (finished good logistics)
  • Working with technical specifications on product packaging, palletization and logistics handling
  • Ensuring standardization of product handling across warehouses ( internal and outsourced locations as well)
  • Continuously working on process optimization, quality improvement, and product cost-out initiatives across Europe
  • Project coordination on behalf of logistics
  • Problem-solving and close cooperation with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders
  • Being able to facilitate trainings to internal VELUX employees or external stakeholders (logistics service providers, our customers)

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in production/ logistics engineering, or a similar field (other educational backgrounds are also welcome with relevant experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in product/packaging development, understanding logistics handling
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems, combined with solid IT knowledge
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English
