About this role:

The Strategic Investments team is seeking a highly motivated investment professional to support the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management of strategic investment opportunities. Working alongside senior investment professionals, this individual will play a key role in the investment lifecycle, from underwriting and due diligence through portfolio monitoring and value creation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for technology and innovation. This role offers significant exposure to venture capital and private equity transactions while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external industry participants.

In this role you will:

  • Support the identification, evaluation, execution, and ongoing monitoring of investment opportunities as part of an established deal team
  • Conduct portfolio management activities, industry analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence to support investment decision-making
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize complex data sets, leveraging advanced analytics and leading AI-enabled research tools
  • Develop and maintain financial models related to prospective and existing investments, including valuation analyses, scenario modeling, restructurings, recapitalizations, and liquidity events
  • Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda, transaction materials, and portfolio reviews
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to facilitate transaction approvals, documentation, execution, and investment booking processes
  • Build and maintain relationships across the venture capital, private equity, and broader innovation ecosystem, while partnering closely with internal teams including Investment Banking, Wealth & Investment Management, and Innovation


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Strategic Investment Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking
  • Completion of, or expected completion of, a formal investment banking analyst or associate training program
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, including experience with discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and scenario analysis
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Solid accounting and financial statement analysis skills
  • Experience evaluating, structuring, and executing private equity, venture capital, growth equity, or credit-related transactions
  • Demonstrated interest in, or experience within, fintech, financial services, wealth tech, or broader technology sectors
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Relevant graduate degree preferred.

Base Salary Range

  • New York, New York $150,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD Annual
  • Salary range is determined by location of the job. May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentive awards.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$143,000.00 - $224,000.00
