- Seasoned analytical experience in the utility and energy sector, with deep expertise in utility modeling and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of the utility market, including energy and commodity options, and their analytical impacts.
- Leverage unique insight into how energy usage and policy affect government-sector operations.
- Maintain working knowledge of key regional utility partners such as NY Power Authority, Con Edison, National Grid, and NYC DEP (Water).
- Understand the functions of utility management firms (e.g., AvidXchange ) and experience collaborating with consulting organizations.
- Assess impacts on the residential energy market and evaluate emerging alternative energy technologies such as solar and heat pump systems.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate enterprise, business, data, security, and technology architecture diagrams and documentation.
- Define and enforce architecture methodologies, principles, standards, roadmaps, and guidelines to ensure security, interoperability, reuse, and integration.
- Lead or supervise technical leads, developers, and engineers in delivering application and infrastructure solutions.
- Identify system issues or design flaws early and escalate them to leadership to prevent operational or performance impacts.
- Recommend hardware, server, and environment requirements while collaborating with clients to build and configure application environments.
- Monitor emerging technologies and architectural trends across hardware, software, networking, mobile, databases, and data models to inform strategic decisions.
- Support major internal development initiatives and new software products through documentation, training, and ongoing technical guidance.
- Participate in procurement processes by developing and reviewing technical specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and coordinating with external IT vendors.
