Your new role

As Strategic Events Senior Manager, you'll be the central orchestrator behind Novo Nordisk's most impactful corporate, scientific, and strategic events in Mexico City Your work will translate business priorities into unforgettable experiences that strengthen our reputation, align with our values, and drive measurable results across our International Operations.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:

  • Designing and executing an annual events strategy that aligns with business objectives across marketing, medical, commercial, and leadership functions
  • Overseeing the complete event lifecycle—from concept development to post-event analysis—ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance at every stage
  • Acting as the compliance reference point for all event-related matters, ensuring adherence to internal policies, codes of ethics, SOPs, and external regulations
  • Managing event budgets with precision, ensuring cost-effectiveness, financial traceability, and alignment with procurement policies
  • Leading cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders including Marketing, Medical, Finance, Compliance, Procurement, P&O, and Leadership teams
  • Defining clear KPIs to measure event success and generating actionable insights that drive continuous improvement
  • Managing strategic relationships with external vendors, agencies, venues, and key partners to deliver operational excellence

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a Strategic Events Senior Manager who thrives in complexity and brings structure, vision, and execution excellence to high-stakes environments. You'll bring with you:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of experience managing complex, high-impact events, preferably within regulated environments such as pharma, healthcare, or corporate sectors
  • Proven experience working with senior stakeholders, managing budgets, and overseeing vendor relationships with professionalism and influence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate direct and indirect teams, enabling effective delegation and efficient delivery across multiple workstreams
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate priorities into measurable event concepts
  • Deep understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks in event planning
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence, with fluency in English
  • An agile problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
