ANSER is seeking a Strategic Engagement Analyst to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (IBP) Global Investment and Economic Security Directorate (GIES). In this role you will work with allies, partners, industry, and congress to address economic security and foreign investment risks.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Track and support engagements with allies, partners, industry, and congress to assess and develop engagement strategies.
  • Deliver recommendations to the U.S., allies, and partners’ governments on how to address economic security and foreign investment risks, to include war gaming activities.
  • Provide analytic support, talking points, read ahead material, whitepapers, and other documents to support engagements with and outreach to inter-agency groups, industry, and congress.
  • Support increase partner capability and capacity for economic security and identification and mitigation of foreign investment risk in the DIB, including classified and unclassified information.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years’ relevant strategic engagement experience
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility/adjudication
  • Significant experience in one of the following focus areas: International Affairs, Diplomacy, Economics, Finance, National Security, or Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated analytics skills and ability to communicate (oral or written) with senior DoD and USG leaders and experience preparing executive-level briefings and reports
  • Experience preparing and conducting strategic analyses and studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis/definition and cost/benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions and initiatives.
  • Ability to prepare forecasts, analyze trends, reporting regulations, and business conditions, and identify potential business risks
  • Experience developing and analyzing metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports and recommendations related to management, organizational structure, policy/procedures and business systems.
  • Experience identifying potential business risks including, but not limited to, business performance, business and economic case analysis, internal control, and enterprise risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant area
  • Experience in International Affairs, Diplomacy, Economics, Finance, National Security, or Business Administration
  • Experience operating within the Global Investment and Economic Security Directorate (GIES) or a similar senior, strategic-level staff environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept through completion
