You are a passionate, self-starting, practical Education specialist with high levels of hands-on expertise, materials development experience, strong accountability and responsibility levels and with a passion for Foundational and remedial learning.
You design and develop relevant and scalable projects in close collaboration with internal and external partners.
You provide both short- and long-term strategic advice, information and guidance to VVOB and VVOB’s partners on the specifications outlined in the annex for each role and in line with policy trends, new developments and the latest research and thinking in education and international development.
You provide authoritative guidance on instructional models, learning progressions, and alignment between remedial and core instructional approaches.
You take up a variety of roles in the capacity development process according to the needs, particular situations, and phases of the programme.
You create and manage partnerships and strong networks with relevant partners, institutions and organisations.
You provide strategic and instructional leadership across VVOB’s portfolio, ensuring coherence, quality, and sustainability of FLN-related interventions across projects and levels of the system.

As such, the professional development of teachers and school leaders is VVOB’s primary priority in ensuring quality education for all. By working closely with governments, research institutions, committed donors and national, regional and international networks and expert partners, VVOB strives to maximise the sustainability and potential for upscaling of its initiatives.
