Your New Role
As Strategic Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying the growth and impact opportunities, defining strategic projects and initiatives in order to lead business- and market development in cardiometabolic therapy area. You will identify, develop and establish partnerships with relevant external stakeholders by negotiating and co-creating market-fit solutions that help drive growth in our business.


You will also:

  • Identify and evaluate new strategic opportunities by assessing market trends and industry development to lead commercial collaboration partnerships
  • Secure internal deal mandates to finalise agreements with external partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels, gathering business insights and influencing decisions to ensure strategic alignment and successful implementation.
  • Support business unit alliance marketing in managing partner performance and governance structures in line with contracts
  • Analyze the value and risks of new business models and projects, align them with strategic goals, assess the feasibility and resource allocation accordingly

In this role, you will directly report to Cardiometabolic Marketing Director. You will be a part of marketing team of strong professionals with solid experience and expertise in cardiometabolic diseases and pharmaceutical industry.

Cardiometabolic Marketing Department is responsible for marketing, business development and market insight gathering for inline and pipeline products in cardiometabolic therapy areas with an ambitious team of professionals with strong business acumen, effective collaboration and innovative thinking.

Your Skills & Qualifications

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or Life Sciences with minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships and alliance management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, consumer health and/or FMCG sector with proven track record in business development. Moreover

  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior management and cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Turkish. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with tailoring content to specific audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in managing strategic partnerships and a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with strong analytical skills and a solution-driven mindset with exceptional collaboration and influencing skills to engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and agility to explore broader ecosystems involving data, digital and emerging technologies.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills with result-oriented and forward-looking focus
  • Strong collaboration within business unit and across various functions
