About the role

As a Strategic Analyst, you will produce high‑quality analytical products that inform long‑term planning and strategic development across the organisation. You will interpret and analyse a wide range of information — including data, intelligence, environmental scanning, capability and capacity — to identify organisational threat, harm and risk and provide a robust evidence base for senior leaders.

You will also design and develop processes that support the production of strategic analysis reports, ensuring they meet departmental and Force standards.

Your work will directly support strategic performance improvement and help shape the future direction of the organisation.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at all levels.

You will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of computerised query building and the ability to work confidently across a wide range of Force information systems.
  • Strong organisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to meet demanding and impromptu deadlines.

  • Ability to scrutinise and dissect large volumes of information, identifying areas requiring further investigation.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present clear, concise reports.
  • Ability to present complex analytical findings in simple terms to diverse audiences.
  • Confidence to influence and negotiate information requirements with customers.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and practices, including working at other locations across the Force when required.
