The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) based in Thailand will focus on proactively selling Trend AI products and services into strategic Telecommunications accounts. The SAM will drive to meet and exceed quota by engaging customers directly, leveraging and partnering with resellers, Global System Integrators, and Telco ecosystem partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the primary account lead for assigned Telco accounts, delivering a compelling Client Value Proposition tailored to the telecommunications industry
Work closely with Telco clients to identify business needs, planned network initiatives, digital transformation directions, and act as a trusted adviser on cybersecurity best practices and solutions aligned to their IT and operational goals
Support clients in addressing Telco-specific security challenges, including network infrastructure protection, 5G security, and cloud-native environments
Recognised as the internal authority on your Telco account portfolio — the go-to person for insights, context, and account strategy
Partner cross-functionally with Technical, Strategic Partner Manager, and Marketing teams to align on customer goals and key performance metrics
Proactively identify and drive new opportunities within Telco accounts, staying ahead of industry trends and procurement cycles
Develop and manage a reliable forecast, ensuring disciplined use of Trend AI's sales forecasting tools, account plans, and CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
Maintain deep knowledge of the Telco landscape, emerging technologies (5G, IoT, cloud), and the competitive cybersecurity posture across the industry
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent Trend AI at Telco industry conferences, trade shows, and seminars
Support the planning and execution of programmes designed to promote Trend AI's presence in the Telco sector
Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience in enterprise account management within IT, cybersecurity, or telecommunications solutions
Proven experience managing and growing Telco sector accounts — including mobile operators, fixed-line providers, ISPs, or Telco infrastructure companies
Strong understanding of Telco business models, network architectures, and the evolving security needs of telecommunications providers
Familiarity with Telco-specific challenges such as 5G security, network slicing, OT/IT convergence, and regulatory compliance
Ability to effectively engage at the C-level and with technical leadership teams within Telco organisations
Working knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, and IT solutions, with awareness of top competitive offerings in the market
Strong knowledge of virtualisation and cloud-based security solutions preferred
Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding quota in large, complex account environments
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or Management is a plus
